The applications in Japan and Europe are soon to be decided. This patent concerns a “thin film electrode” for generating a cold atmospheric plasma at low voltages, which is suitable for mass production at low manufacturing costs.
This electrode is an important building block in terraplasma’s developments for miniaturised plasma sources for the treatment of skin diseases, for wound healing, for combating viral and bacterial infections as well as foot and nail fungus, for inactivating odours, pollutants and allergens, for air and water purification and for many other applications in medicine and hygiene.
The patent protection thus gained should strengthen terraplasma’s position in plasma technology even more.
